Raleigh’s own DJ duo DJ Ricky Ricardo and rapper Lesthegenius are back with the second edition of Raleighwood Festival, happening August 30, 2025. What started in 2023 as a humble local gathering is now a sprawling three-acre, multigenre showcase right in South Raleigh.
This year’s lineup boasts 23 acts, nearly all hailing from North Carolina, anchored by breakout alt-R&B talent Jordan Ward from St. Louis. The festival solidifies its commitment to the local scene by spotlighting hometown heroes like Sonny Miles, leroy, Nia J, and Weston Estate, bridging veterans and fresh faces alike.
Ricky and Les have deep roots in the area and use the festival as more than just a music event—they’re pushing a narrative of thriving in Raleigh rather than leaving. The event unfolds on meaningful grounds close to their childhood neighborhoods with familiar food vendors, offering a welcoming, community-centered vibe perfect for first-timers and festival buffs.
