A screenshot shared on Reddit shows a direct message to the verified Instagram account @festiveowl asking if the poster was real — Festive Owl’s reply, plain as day: “Sadly, that is a fake.”
The fake poster listed a festival-sized roster of big names (fans were quick to call out The Strokes, LCD Soundsystem, Wet Leg, Geese, Rufus Du Sol, Deftones and more), which is why the image had so many people fooled. The Reddit thread captured that excitement and the letdown when the DM surfaced.
