AmericanaFest 2025 Closes With Legendary Send-Off at Nashville’s 3rd and Lindsley

As AmericanaFest 2025 wrapped on September 13, Nashville’s iconic 3rd and Lindsley hosted a star-studded finale that underscored its vital role in the Americana scene—secured now with a fresh five-year lease.

Opening the night, singer-songwriter Liz Longley delivered an intimate solo acoustic set highlighting songs from her latest album New Life. Next up, Americana legend Rodney Crowell commanded the stage with his “Friends” ensemble, featuring Larkin Poe, Sarah Jarosz, and Carlene Carter. They showcased new tracks from Crowell’s August release Airline Highway and ignited the crowd with a spirited cover of Bob Dylan’s “Like a Rolling Stone.”

Celebrating her 75th birthday, Rosie Flores brought a dynamic rockabilly performance, blending classics with fresh originals inspired by her recent quarantine experience and childhood memories. The night closed with a sizzling guitar party led by Nashville session masters Tom Bukovac, Guthrie Trapp, and Jedd Hughes—proving 3rd and Lindsley’s lasting pulse as it nears its 35th anniversary.

Earlier this year, 3rd and Lindsley overcame redevelopment uncertainty by extending its lease, ensuring it remains a champion for independent music in Nashville for years to come. Owner Ron Brice emphasized the venue’s commitment to being a home for authentic live music.

Fans can look forward to a robust 35th anniversary celebration early next year, featuring a series of special concerts with artists who have defined 3rd and Lindsley’s legacy. Plus, expanded daytime, family-friendly shows aim to broaden the venue’s community reach.
