Band of Heathens Preview Country Sides — ACL Live Nov. 29

Band of Heathens get country-forward on new LP, preview it at ACL Live

The Band of Heathens are marking 20 years by leaning into classic country textures and previewing their 10th studio album, Country Sides. The record — out Feb. 20, 2026 — was produced by the band with Jim Vollentine (Spoon, Patty Griffin, White Denim) and features more pedal steel than anything they’ve released before.

First single “High on Our Own Supply” settles into a laid-back Americana groove: sing-along warmth with soulful, anthemic roots energy. Principal songwriter Ed Jurdi says the track is about plugging into the thing that sustains you — music — and the band sounds confident and steady, not chasing inspiration but working at it.

“The supply is music. When you plug into that, it gives you whatever the feeling is that we’re all chasing after.”

  • Gordy Quist — co-founder, co-frontman
  • Ed Jurdi — co-founder, principal songwriter
  • Trevor Nealon — keyboards
  • Clint Simmons — drums
  • Nick Jay — bass

The Band of Heathens will preview Country Sides at ACL Live on Nov. 29 as part of their 20th-anniversary run. Expect swampy guitar licks, barroom piano, and the sort of roots storytelling that plays well at festival stages and club rooms alike. They plan to road-test the new songs in Texas before taking the run national.

For festival folks tracking Americana and roots bills: this is the sort of veteran act that slots perfectly into late-afternoon festival sets or an intimate late-night stage. Keep an ear out for Country Sides next February and for any festival announcements around the band’s anniversary shows.
