Fan Says Final Night With Dad Was Martin Garrix Set at Lollapalooza 2025

A Lollapalooza attendee shared a heartfelt story this week about spending the last night with their father at Lollapalooza 2025 — watching Martin Garrix’s set. What started as a night out became a memory the fan says theyll carry forever: Garrix has been a meaningful presence for the family through illness and big life moments, and finally seeing him in their hometown felt like a perfect full-circle moment.

“The last night I ever had with my dad was seeing Martin Garrix at Lolla 2025… It was the most amazing set ever and it means so much more to me now.”

The fan explained that Garrix was there for them during a stage 3 cancer battle in 2019 and had been part of family celebrations since — including a Vegas bachelor party in 2023 where they saw Garrix with the father. After years of waiting for Garrix to return to their hometown festival, the family finally experienced the set together at Perrys stage, surrounded by friends and relatives.

Moments like this are a reminder of how festival nights do more than deliver music — they build memories that outlast the lights and bass. The fan noted that their father, only 62, passed away shortly after, and described feeling grateful the last shared night was one of joy and connection. For many in the scene, music and family often intersect; this story is a powerful example of that bond.
