September 13 Highlights

  • Fried Green Tomato Festival at Leon Everette Music & Convention Center (12 PM – 6 PM): Enjoy amazing live music featuring the Anybody’s Guess Band, Robbie Cockrell Band, and Leon Everette himself. Plus, dive into homemade crafts, candles, boiled peanuts, and lots of fried green tomato goodness.
  • Touch-A-Truck Family Event: Kids got hands-on with trucks, enjoyed free trackless train rides, and Power Wheel Derby races at Odell Weeks Activities Center. A perfect interactive outing for families.
  • Walk to End Alzheimer’s brought the community together downtown to support vital research and awareness efforts.
  • Augusta Ballet’s Cinderella and Champions: A Celebration of Queen provided spectacular evening entertainment close by.

September 19–20: Music and STEM Action

  • Daniel Adam Maltz opened the Aiken Symphony Season with a stunning performance that set the tone for the year.
  • SEED STEM Festival at USC Aiken (10 AM – 3 PM) offered more than 75 interactive exhibits exploring robotics, nuclear power, aviation, biology, and more—free and family-friendly.
  • Oktoberfest in Downtown Aiken livened the streets with drinks, dancing, and good cheer.
  • Balsam Range Bluegrass Concert showcased stellar musicianship and Appalachian roots tunes.

September 27–28: Closing Out Strong
